An eating disorder is like a stranger that calls. The person you once knew is slowly being taken over by an imposter. This imposter doesn’t care who you are, age, orientation, sex, religion. All it cares about is that it can slowly take over your body make itself stronger, louder and you quieter and weaker.
I always talk about what I would say to my younger self, that girl who is crippled by that imposter, the girl who was slowly dying and losing her identity to Anoreixia Nervosa. What that imposter didn‘t know is that I was a fighter and it chose the wrong person to take over. With my family, support network and hospitalisation that imposter grew weak and I grew strong.
Read my story and let it give you hope that recovery is possible as I am walking proof…
